Happy Mother’s Day!
Many of us won’t be able to be face-to-face with our Mom’s today. I keep looking for any little slivers of a silver lining that I can find during this health crisis. I lived and raised my three children with no extended family anywhere near. And I raised them in the South and true Southern families spend a lot of time with their extended families.
So, that means over the years I have heard many grumblings and complaints from friends about having to spend time with their families for Sunday dinners, barbeques, parties… I’ve consistently not been a good ear for that kind of nonsense because I’ve always set people straight on how lucky they are.
My hope today is that the forced separation makes people pause a second and have a greater appreciation for the Moms in their lives. I’d give anything to be able to put the good tea set out and sit down to Mother’s Day brunch with my Mom.
So, my hope is that you love on your kids and spoil your Mom today and every day! Enjoyl
