50 may just be a #, but it’s AWESOME

I fretted for a year, but the big day happened with zero tears and lots of celebration.  I’ve always been a glass half full kinda gal – that probably helps – but I also took a big pause to be thankful and enjoy my amazing husband (and best friend), my three young men (not children anymore), my family that traveled to be with me; and my friends who’ve always got my back.

All that support certainly made the plunge into my fifties easier. Well, all that and lots of wine and cake! And now that I’m here, not much has changed… I’m still focused on exploring new places, spending time with friends and family, and getting the most out of this next decade.

Next Up: The countdown to the eclipse which will be spent at an all day celebration in Tennessee.  If you don’t have your eclipse glasses, get them soon!

Last words: my sister says 50’s are great but they don’t beat 60’s. I’m not in a hurry to find out but that’s certainly good to hear!
