Mom Still Has Me Smiling

I keep finding little written notes from Mom, thoughts jotted down really.

I keep re-reading this one, keeping it in my wallet like a great Fortune cookie saying:

Don’t cry because

it’s over

Smile because

it was

I thought, did Mom write that or is it a quote?

Turns out it’s awfully close to a famous Dr. Seuss quote, Don’t cry because it’s over, Smile because it happened.

So Mom was probably remembering that but did not capture it exactly as the Seuss said it.

Either way it’s a good reminder that it’s about the journey.
