An Angel Named Sue

One of the challenges in dealing with any illness is navigating the “world’s best health system.”  Everyone’s a specialist it seems, you got your heart doctor, you have your cancer doctor… but it’s tough to figure out who’s looking at the big picture, who’s looking out for you.  Or as my Mom kept asking, I’m not sure who’s in charge of this show.  The answer is you are but that’s a story for a different day.  Today I want to talk about Sue because all the Sue’s out there are truly the backbone of our health system.  I’m sure you’ve guessed it but Sue is Mom’s hospice nurse and she is awesome (strong, confident, compassionate, willing to do battle with all doctors) and she does make house calls.
