Traditions

Whether it’s the green bean casserole, Dad’s sausage stuffing or turducken, Thanksgiving wouldn’t feel like Thanksgiving without some of the traditional dishes from our childhood on the table.  I’ve never had turducken but it’s probably somebody’s tradition!  I have not spent Thanksgiving with my brother in a lot of years but got to today.  And I’m still chuckling that his must have’s are the same as mine. And boy those traditions run deep.  People get downright cranky if something is missing! As I thought about it, I think it’s because it reminds us of our loved ones, fun times and well, darn it, it just tastes good.  I read earlier this week that the average T’giving dinner is 4,500 calories and I’m happy to report that I enjoyed every single one of them today and hope you did too!
